What started it all.

Growing up, I suffered frequent headaches that turned into migraines. I went to see specialists after specialists, and nothing stopped the migraines. One day while cleaning my room, i decided to temporarily move things outside to clean properly. Once my room was cleared, I suddenly felt a strong sensation of calmness and peace. Upon this realization, I began to experiment with removing things from my room then putting them back. This further made me realize that the clutter in my room was in fact what was causing my migraines. Upon doing research, I learnt that there is a mental connection with your physical surroundings.

As time went on, I embarked on a journey of encouraging and teaching others how to do the same. We often feel like we cannot let go of things due to sentiment or simply for the fact that we’ve held unto them for a long time. This can create a accumulation of junk that we don’t need, Junk that doesn’t benefit us or add any value to our wellbeing.

The idea behind House of Zen is not only to teach others ways to organize their spaces, but also to encourage others to let go of things. Letting go is both a mental and physical journey, as physical attachments tend to cause a mental attachment.

Let’s start the journey of decluttering together. I’ll help you realize what clearing your space does to clear your mind.
